From Framework to finished function— a sleek reimagining of the classic carport
This lakeside transformation reimagined a basic carport into a fully enclosed, insulated garage and workshop, built to handle the elements and elevate function. From structural framing to final finish, every detail was designed for durability, warmth, and visual cohesion with the existing home.
The build included new insulation, vapor barrier, exterior sheeting, and rain screen, followed by matching exterior finishes for a seamless tie-in. Inside, alder and cedar accent paneling was installed to bring richness and warmth to the workspace, complemented by surface-mounted lighting and crisp white trim.
The result is a multi-use garage that’s not only weather-ready and heated, but beautifully finished—designed to serve both storage and craft with integrity and style.
